“A School for every developer”.. a community initiative launched by Ouda Developments

Ouda Developments company, launched a community initiative named “A school for every developer”, in order to renovate and develop public schools, and the initiative began with “Osama Bin Zaid” School in Obour City, Qalyubia Governorate, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility and its commitment to contribute for a better educational environment for the Egyptian students.

This initiative came upon the company’s belief in the vital role of the private sector in supporting the community and contributing to improve quality of life, aliging with its approach of adopting initiatives that have a direct impact on the communities surrounding its operations.

Ouda Developments believes that the responsibility of a real estate developer does not stop at developing projects and establishing integrated urban communities, but extends to contributing in community development and supporting sectors that directly affect citizens’ lives, foremost among them education, which is a fundamental pillar for building human and achieving sustainable development.

The initiative stems from the need to support a number of schools requiring renovation and development works, as Ouda Developments aims to contribute to provide a better learning environment for students by carrying out the necessary development and equipping work at the selected school, in accordance with its actual needs.

The initiative is not limited to develop a single school, but rather represents the start of an ongoing approach through which Ouda Developments will undertake the renovation of other schools in need of significant intervention, according to its capabilities and the specific needs of each school, thus contributing to expand the initiative’s societal impact.

From this perspective, Ouda Developments launched “A School for every developer” challenge, inviting real estate development companies operating in the Egyptian market to participate by adopting, developing, and equipping one school each, which creates a model of cooperation between the private sector and the community to support the educational process.

The company believes that the participation of real estate developers in such initiatives can make a real difference on the ground, as each company will be adopting one school, which totally means improving a larger number of schools and providing a better learning environment for a greater number of students.

The initiative stems from a vision that considers the success of real estate development companies to be measured not only by the number of their projects and investments, but also by the impact they have on the communities in which they operate, thus the social responsibility is an essential and integral part of the developer’s role in building a higher quality and more sustainable society.
